Agnes Ivan

Represented by Wallack Galleries for over 30 years, Agnes Ivan has had a long and celebrated career as an artist. As a student at the Ontario College of Art in the early seventies, Agnes was singled out as an artist of Promise. At a major exhibition at Toronto City Hall during, during this period, her work was awarded Best in Show. 

In the seventies, Agnes had numerous successful exhibitions in Toronto and was awarded several Ontario Art Council grants as well as Canada Council grants in 1975 and 1978-1979. Along with her commercial triumphs during this period, Agnes had numerous institutional exhibitions at such prominent venues as Habourfron Gallery (Toronto), the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Art Gallery of Hamilton along with international exhibitions at the International Centre in Paris and the cultural Centre in London, England. 

The 1980s proved to be another accomplished decade with numerous exhibitions including solo shows in Spain and Germany. The Last twenty years have been eventful for Agnes as she continues to have a rewarding career as and artist and instructor at the Ottawa School of Art.
